I was part of two world title camps and had the chance to work with boxers like Dierry Jean, Ghislain Maduma.
Later, I opened my own gym, where we built a strong program that produced Canadian champions, including Sammy Morristown, Hamza Kababaz, and Jad Hababaz.
One of the greatest highlights of my career was traveling to the Philippines to help prepare Manny Pacquiao for his fight against Timothy Bradley. I worked alongside Ghislain Maduma, who was a sparring partner in camp. An unforgettable experience at the very highest level of the sport.
Seven years ago, I lost a bet with my wife, and we decided to move to Whitehorse her hometown to build a family. And here we are today.”

“I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have coached racquetball, karate, boxing, and Muay Thai, and eventually focused my skills in mentoring young athletes while instilling the values of discipline and determination.
I lived in Kimmirut, Nunavut for several years and established the first fitness centre. I taught the youth and participants the fundamentals of weightlifting and cardiovascular exercises, promoting not only physical well-being, but also cultural preservation. I initiated the first-ever boxing program in Kimmirut. Offering a safe and supportive environment for young individuals to channel their energy and focus into a disciplined sport.”
”I am from Fort McPherson, NWT. I moved to Inuvik in my late teens and began training with a seasoned coach with over 20 years of experience. I trained two years in Inuvik and then moved to Whitehorse. I trained and competed over the next five years.
I’ve always enjoyed boxing so over the years, I have transitioned to sharing my passion and knowledge for the sport.”

Typically, the Yukon Boxing season starts in September and ends in May.
While we recommend getting your own boxing gloves and hand wraps, we have lots of gloves for participants to use for class.
